Althea Jane Scott, 62, of Hindsville, Ark., died May 30, 2017 peacefully at her home. She was born Sept. 11, 1954 at Fayetteville, Ark., the daughter of Loye Leon and Lily B. Fields Elliott. She married Kenneth Michael Scott on Oct. 13, 1984, in Slidell, La. She was a veteran of the U.S. Army, worked as a dental hygienist in Fayetteville and attended the First Baptist Church of Huntsville. She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Monty J. Elliott; and stepmother, Betty S. Hall Elliott.

Survivors include: her husband, Mike, of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Shelby Scott and Marcus and Heather Scott, all of Russellville, Ark.; one daughter and son-in-law, Angie and James McNeese, of Russellville, Ark.; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Deborah and Robert Henson, of Suffolk, and Rebecca and Jeff Hudson, of Platte City, Mo., and Mari Jo and Dale Wilkes, of Holts Summit, Mo., and stepsister Carol Chapman, of St. Peters, Mo.; two brothers, Paul Elliot, of Blue Springs, Mo.,, and stepbrother Michael Dana, of Fayetteville, Ark.; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; 12 nieces and nephews; six aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday June 5, at Brashears Funeral Home in Huntsville. Arrangements by Brashears Funeral Home Inc., www.brashearsfuneralhome.net, Huntsville, Arkansas.
