A 16-year-old female middle school student was listed in the Suffolk Police Department’s incident log on Tuesday as a victim in the June 1 incident. The description of the incident states that she performed oral sex on a male while they were on the bus.

According to Suffolk Public Schools spokeswoman Bethanne Bradshaw, the girl is a ninth-grade student. The boy involved in the incident is a 14-year-old eighth grader, she said.

Bradshaw said other students and the bus driver were on the bus at the time the two students were engaged in the sexual act.

Both students have been suspended for the remainder of the school year, and both will be given “additional time in separate alternative programs next school year,” Bradshaw stated in an email. “Neither will be allowed to ride the bus while attending those alternative programs.

Turlington Woods is a facility set aside for those public school students in Suffolk whose behavioral problems have caused them to be removed from other middle and high schools in the city.
