Evelyn F. Ledbetter, affectionately known as “Faye” by family and friends,

slipped away into her final slumber at her home on June 3, 2017.

She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Dr. James W. Ledbetter Jr.  (Vanessa) of Fulshear, Texas, and Victor L. Ledbetter of Atlanta; three daughters, Jennifer Ledbetter-Phillips (Everett) of Suffolk, Allison B. Copeland (Bruce) of Suffolk and Donna S. Strickland of Augusta, Ga.; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be begin at 4 p.m., and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Mineral Springs Baptist Church, 4749 Mineral Springs Road, Suffolk. A celebration of her life will be held Friday noon in Metropolitan Baptist Church, 125 Country St., Suffolk. The body will be placed in church at 10 a.m.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Community Funeral Home, Norfolk.
