NRHS tennis season ends

Nansemond River High School’s girls’ tennis season ended after a 5A state semifinal loss.
The Lady Warriors’ best season in school history ended with the loss to George Marshall High School on Monday. Nansemond River finished the season with a 19-2 record.
The Lady Warriors are also PenSouth Conference champions and 5A South regional runner-up. They had the conference’s top two singles players in Erin Bonney and Zion McCoy. Both were also a part of the top doubles team.
