The season is over for Nansemond River High School’s softball team after a 7-1 loss to Atlee High School on Friday.

Both teams started off slow, going scoreless through four innings. A big fourth inning by Atlee put the Lady Warriors away. Atlee scored all seven of their runs in the fourth inning.

Nansemond River had three errors that inning, helping to build momentum for Atlee to carry through the rest of the game.

Nansemond River scored its only run at the top of the sixth inning.
