Nansemond River High School’s softball team had three players make the 5A South All-Region teams.

Madie Rhoads, Katelyn Biando and Ashlyn Rogers all represent Nansemond River on the 5A South All Region team. What is even more impressive is that all three were selected to the first team.

Rhoads impressed during the regional tournament, throwing a one-hitter in the regional semifinal. Her performance helped Nansemond River to a 5A state tournament berth.

Rogers and Biando also have had successful postseason play for Nansemond River.

After graduating seven seniors from last year’s team, Nansemond River seemed uncertain to bounce back. From post-season accolades and earning a state tournament berth, it’s clear they were successful.
