Barbara Clark Griffin, 95, passed away June 13, 2017. She was born in Edinburg, to the late Ernest and Bertha Clark. Barbara was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, John Garland Griffin Sr.; sister, Melissa Clark; and brother, Ernest D. Clark Jr. She was a retired registered nurse from Obici Hospital. Barbara was a member of Providence United Methodist Church and the Gray Memorial Sunday School Class.

Barbara is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, John Garland Griffin Jr. and Pati A. Griffin, Larry Clark Griffin and Helen M. Griffin, Richard “Dicky” Griffin and Patricia A. Griffin; five grandchildren, Karen Leonard and husband, Chris, Kimberly Warholak and husband, Brian, Rick Griffin and wife, Ashley, Ben Griffin and fiancé, Laura Morris, Libby Hudgins and husband, James; great-grandchildren, Emmy, Griffin, Madison, Emily, Avery and Blake; sister, Hazel Clark Turner; numerous special nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 17, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Providence United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Garland K. Hines Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Nansemond-Suffolk Cemetery. Friends may join the family for visitation Friday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk.
