Leslie Raymond Wilson Jr. went to be with the Lord on June 14, 2017. He was the son of the late Lois C. and Leslie R. Wilson Sr. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 61 years, Elizabeth Burroughs Wilson.

Leslie served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of Suffolk Christian Church. He was a great father; he was a very loyal and giving father, always making the sacrifices for the love of his family. He will be truly missed by his family.

He is survived by his sons, Leslie Wilson III and wife, Janice, Kenneth Wilson and wife, Cindy, Steven Wilson and wife, Nancy, Larry Wilson and wife, Jerri; grandchildren, Leslie Wilson IV, Christopher Wilson and Gabe Wilson; great-grandchildren, Bradley Wilson, Jacob Wilson and Kyle Wilson; and siblings, Nancy Stiles, Robert Wilson and Shirley Kennedy; and special friend and companion, Willie Latane Barton.

A funeral will be held on Monday, June 19, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, 509 W. Washington St., Suffolk, by the Rev. Wayne Gardner. Burial will follow with military honors at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery.
