Bruce wins $1,000 CCIS scholarship

Complete Custom Itinerary Service Inc. has announced that the recipient of the company’s annual $1,000 National College Scholarship is Cameron Bruce, a senior in the choir program at Nansemond-Suffolk Academy.

Named the top selection of 50 outstanding applicants, Cameron was a participant on the Nansemond-Suffolk choir’s trip to Savannah, Ga., in March. This Fall, Cameron will attend Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University, pursuing a degree in Meteorology.

The choir program at Nansemond-Suffolk is under the direction of Antoinette Cotturone.

In addition to the $1,000 National Scholarship, every group that travels with CCIS receives an individual scholarship ranging in value from $100 to $500.

These awards are presented to individual group members at the discretion of their group leader or director. Since the program began in 2006, CCIS has awarded nearly $80,000 in scholarships to students in 22 states.
