Bronco FCU awards scholarships

Bronco Federal Credit Union recently awarded nine high school seniors from the community with scholarships to help them begin their continued education journey.

This year’s program awarded two $5,000 scholarships, three $2,000 scholarships and four $1,000 scholarships to the graduating seniors.

Brendan Simms of Southampton High School and Catherine Brown of Franklin High School are the recipients of the $5,000 John Alan Glasgow Memorial Scholarships. This scholarship is named in memory of John Alan Glasgow, Class of 1999, to recognize the scholastic and life achievements of a graduating student.

Noah Smith of Windsor High School, Emery Weist of Southampton Academy and Brittany Bunn of Southampton High School were awarded a $2,000 Bronco Scholarship. The four $1,000 Bronco Scholarships were awarded to Devin Koehne of Southampton High School, Carter Brittle of Southampton Academy, Skiler Cutchins of Franklin High School, and Lauren Causey of Franklin High School.

“The 2017 scholarship winners have demonstrated excellent community and extracurricular activity involvement as well as strong academics throughout their high school careers,” stated a press release from Bronco.
