James A. Gibbons, 70, of Skeetertown Road transitioned June 16, 2017, at his residence.

He was the son of James Davis Gibbons and Lula Lee Gibbons and the godson of Goldie Jordan.

A wake will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel. He will be laid to rest in Gethsemane Baptist Church Cemetery.
