Edward P. Foreman

Bishop Edward P. “Ed” Foreman received his call on June 25, 2017, to relocate to his new home in heaven. Bishop Foreman was a native of Norfolk and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1954. He received his Bachelor of Social Work degree from Norfolk State University in 1973, and his doctorate from the Theological Seminary in Baltimore, Md.

Bishop Foreman was the pastor of the St. Paul RZUA Church, Suffolk, for 32 years. He retired from the U.S. Navy in 1975 and was a decorated Vietnam veteran.

He had a beloved daughter who is now deceased, Cathy Foreman-Geter. He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife, Christine Foreman; two sisters-in-law, Ms. Ivery Knight, of Suffolk, and Ms. Ella Clark, of Chester; nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held Friday, June 30, 2017, from 6 to 9 p.m., and Saturday July 1, 2017, at 11 a.m. Both services will be held at the St. Paul Church, 615 Spruce St., Suffolk. He will be laid to rest in Roosevelt Memorial Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home Inc.
