Specialists to share cotton research

The Virginia Tech Tidewater Agricultural Research and Extension Center will have a Cotton Field Day the morning of Thursday, July 20. The tour will be at the center’s research farm at 1045 Hare Road in Suffolk.
Specialists from Virginia Tech as well as North Carolina State University will display field research in progress and present valuable information on soil fertility and tillage systems in cotton; disease, insect and weed management; and plant growth regulator strategies for cotton.
Virginia private pesticide applicator certification credits will be available for participants.
Lunch will be served after the tour.
Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., with the tour starting promptly at 8 a.m.
