Nell Knight passed away peacefully Sunday, July 9, 2017. She was born on Nov. 18, 1937, to the late Thelma and Charlie Knight Sr. She was a graduate of the Suffolk Public Schools system.

Nell leaves to cherish her memories her siblings; Charlie Knight Jr. (Hattie), Walter Knight (Mary), John Knight (Shirley), Samuel Knight (Arlene), Thomas Earl Knight (Sandra), Edward Lee Knight, of Suffolk; Carrie Knight Brown-Kee (Leroy), of Hampton; Thelma Knight Clark (James Griffen), of Newport News; Evangelist Mary Lane Williams, of Franklin; Bernice Knight Stevenson (Michael), of Northumberland County, and a host of relatives and friends.

Ms. Knight’s visitation will take place from 3 to 7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. A funeral will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday in the Rev. Dr. Melvin R. Boone Chapel of T.E. Cooke-Overton Funeral Home, and she will be entombed at Carver Memorial Cemetery.
