Police investigate shooting

A woman was injured in a shooting late Tuesday evening, according to a city press release.
The shooting was reported at 11:59 p.m. in the 1200 block of Blythewood Lane. An adult female was shot and suffered injuries that do not appear life-threatening, according to the press release. She was taken to a hospital after being treated on the scene by Suffolk Fire & Rescue personnel.
The incident remains under investigation.
