Ava Celani Palamides, the beloved 5-year-old daughter of Melinda Kay Spivey-Palamides and Timothy Robert Palamides, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017, in Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Ava was preceded in death by her infant brother, Alexander Doughtie Palamides; and by her grandfathers, Frederick Spivey and John Palamides.

Surviving with her parents are her grandmothers, Novella Spivey and Gloria Palamides; aunts and uncles, Fred Allen Spivey, Elizabeth E. Fry, J. Quinn, James Cris “J.C.” Palamides and Thomas R. Palamides; and many other extended family members.

A Funeral Mass was offered on Sunday, Aug. 13, at 4 p.m. in St. Pius X Church. A private burial was held in Damascus Christian Church Cemetery in Sunbury, N.C.
