Virginia State Police are investigating a fatal crash that happened on an entrance ramp to Interstate 664 on Tuesday evening.

The crash occurred at 9:58 p.m. at the entrance ramp from College Drive, spokeswoman Sgt. Michelle Anaya stated in a press release.

A 2014 Dodge Ram was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes onto the ramp and collided head-on with a 2012 Nissan Rouge, according to the press release. The driver of the Dodge, a male, died at the scene. His name has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.

The driver and occupant of the Nissan were transported with injuries not considered life-threatening.
