Free Medicare info events set

Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia will hold information and assistance events throughout Western Tidewater in September to assist Medicare-eligible individuals in navigating Medicare and Medicare Part D.
Assistance will also be available for those who are currently enrolled and may be eligible for the Part D Low-Income Subsidy “Extra Help” benefit.
These sessions are free and open to the public. Appointments are required only for the events held at Senior Services. To make an appointment with a Medicare benefits counselor, or for more information, call Bonnie Dozier at 449-8706.
The MedCare Access Medicare benefits counseling program serves residents of Franklin, Isle of Wight County, Southampton County and Suffolk. The MedCare Access program is funded by a grant from the Obici Healthcare Foundation.

- Sept. 14, 10 a.m. to noon — Portsmouth Public Library Churchland Branch, 4934 High St. W
- Sept. 14, 1 to 4 p.m. — North Suffolk Library, 2000 Bennetts Creek Park Road
