Clarissa A. Britt, of 1203 Mangrove Drive, Chesapeake, went into eternal rest on Aug. 25, 2017, in Sentara Rehabilitation Home and Care Facility.

A celebration of life will be held at noon Thursday, Aug. 31, 2017, at New Testament Church Ministries, 403 Rapidan St., Portsmouth, with a viewing starting at 10:30 a.m. She will be laid to rest in the Holly Lawn Cemetery in Suffolk.

She leaves to cherish her memory a loving husband, Horace L. Britt; two daughters: Bethany A. Britt and Dr. Angelitta M. Britt-Spells (Andre’); six siblings; four brothers-in-law; and a host of family and friends. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Harris Funeral Home.
