A crash on Nansemond Parkway will slow traffic during the evening hours.
The truck hauling a tanker of waste water overturned in the 4800 block of Nansemond Parkway about 4:18 p.m. and tipped into the ditch, according to a city press release.
The driver was not injured, and there was no environmental impact, the release stated.
Suffolk police expect the road to be affected for about three hours as crews stage to tow the truck away. Traffic is currently alternating, and the road will be completely closed when it is time to tow the truck away. A detour will be established.
