Larry E. Lynch

Larry E. Lynch, 63, of Midlothian, passed away in the presence of his family on Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph B. Lynch and Hilda Mae R. Lynch, and his brother, Charles C. Lynch. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Sandra W. Lynch; his son, Matthew E. Lynch, his wife, Lisa B. Lynch, and their daughter, Lily B. Lynch, all of Canton, Conn.; and his son, Stephen C. Lynch, and his fiancée, Amanda M. Mullins, of Richmond.
Larry and his wife were members of the first graduating class of Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, where he was also voted class president. He went on to receive an associate degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Paul D. Camp Community College and a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from Virginia Commonwealth University. He was retired from his role as manager of network engineering at Verizon Communications. He was an active member of Huguenot Road Baptist Church, where he served on the finance committee. One of Larry’s greatest joys was spending time with his family, particularly his granddaughter, Lily, with whom he enjoyed daily video chats.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 22 at Bliley’s Funeral Home (Central), 3801 Augusta Ave., Richmond. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., followed by a reception on Saturday, Sept. 23 at Huguenot Road Baptist Church, 10525 W. Huguenot Road, North Chesterfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
