Player of the Week nominees

Following are this week’s nominees for the Suffolk News-Herald Player of the Week:

  • Justin German, senior, King’s Fork High School football: German accounted for more than 300 yards for his team to go along with three total touchdowns against Grassfield High School for homecoming. He had the game’s longest play after a 90-yard rushing touchdown.
  • Ashlyn Rogers, senior, Nansemond River High School field hockey: Rogers scored two goals in the Lady Warriors win over Grassfield High School.
  • Zac Morris, junior, Nansemond-Suffolk Academy football: Morris caught three touchdown passes, including a 70-plus-yard touchdown, in the Saints’ win over Portsmouth Christian.
