Suffolk Les Gemmes attend national board meeting

The Les Gemmes Suffolk Chapter celebrated 62 years of women, empowerment, education and community service at the National Board of Directors meeting in Richmond with 17 statewide chapters at International Airport Holiday Inn on Sept. 23.
The Les Gemmes Inc. was established on Sept. 20, 1955, in Norfolk by four childhood friends.
The association also donated $4,000 to a disaster relief fund to Puerto Rico and Texas and asked others to match this donation to a disaster relief fund of their choice.
