NSA wins TCIS

After a 3-0 victory over Hampton Roads Academy on Tuesday night, the Lady Saints clinched the No. 1 seed in the Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools tournament.
Nansemond-Suffolk Academy girls’ volleyball team gained yet another TCIS regular season title under its belt. By defeating HRA on the road, the Lady Saints finished TCIS play with a 9-0 record.
Addy Greene and Livian Mathews both finished with 10 kills each. Greene added 16 digs and one ace. With the regular season wrapped up, TCIS tournament play will begin Oct. 31. NSA will play its first game at home and will play the semifinals and finals on Nov. 3 and 4 at HRA.
In this week’s VISAA volleyball poll, NSA is ranked No. 3 in the Division II poll and is one point away from second-place Peninsula Catholic School.
