Man indicted in stabbing

A Franklin man has been indicted in connection with an early-morning stabbing in Suffolk on Aug. 21.
James Kenneth Rhoten Jr., 29, is indicted on charges of aggravated malicious wounding, conspiracy to commit a felony and shoot, stab, cut or wound.
The stabbing was reported at 1:11 a.m. from a residence in the 1700 block of Martin Road, according to a city press release. The 22-year-old male victim was expected to survive his injuries.
Jacob Richard Zeno, of Franklin, 19 years old at the time of the offense, was also charged in the stabbing.
Rhoten was one of 34 defendants indicted on 107 charges last week.
