The cranberry sauce. I usually make Ina Garten’s cranberry sauce recipe. It’s cranberry with oranges in it, like orange zest. It’s amazing, and I put it in my turkey. I think I’ve been its No. 1 fan for about 11 years now.

I would have to say the macaroni and cheese. A lot of people don’t know how to make it the right way. My mom, she bakes it and puts all different blocks of cheese up in it, like sharp cheddar, mozzarella, provolone and American of course. It’s really delicious.

Sandra Rose, 60, Carrsville

I love broccoli casserole and the deep-fried turkey. That’s what I always fix for Thanksgiving, or at least for the last 10 or 12 years since I’ve been doing Thanksgiving at my house. We usually have about 25 or 26 people come over.

Butterball turkey, oven roasted. I normally keep everything the simple, normal way. Turkey with sausage stuffing. Cornbread with mashed potatoes and gravy. Pumpkin pies, and also apple pies with cherries on top.
