James Franklin Forsythe, 82, passed away Dec. 13, 2017. He was born in Fredericktown, Mo., the son of the late James Elmer Forsythe and Glenda Haas Forsythe. He was predeceased by his wife, Raenel Gainer Forsythe; daughter, Donna Leigh Cocco; sister, Laura Forsythe; and brother, David Enoch Forsythe. James was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served during the Korean War. He later went on to work and retire as a driver for TRT Transit.

James is survived by his sons, James Lyndal Forsythe (Nancy), David Mike Forsythe (Ashley); and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 15, 2017, at Parr Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
