Donations still are being collected for a family that lost everything during a fire on Page Place last Saturday.

Neighbor Michelle Hendrickson said Thursday that several people and companies have donated clothes, food, gift cards and supplies for the couple’s dog, which also escaped the fire.

The neighbors are “overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and kindness,” Hendrickson stated in an email Thursday.

While donations are ongoing, the donation process has changed, as the drop-off location has closed for Christmas break. People can leave gift cards and small items in the studio’s secure drop box or send an email to mrhendri@charter.net to schedule a drop-off time, Hendrickson said.

City spokesman Tim Kelley wrote in an email Thursday that the investigation into the cause of the fire is still ongoing. The Fire Marshal’s Office posted on the community’s Nextdoor page a call for videos and photos of the fire to assist them in their investigation, Kelley said.

“As a result of that request, they have received many photos and videos that are assisting with the investigation,” Kelley wrote.
