Mrs. Jean A. Jones Pry departed this earthly life on Jan. 17, 2018, in Nansemond Point Nursing Facility.

She worked for the Metropolitan Insurance Company and various other companies. She was also active in community organizations and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School.

She was predeceased by her parents, Annie A. Davis and James S. Jones, and her husband, Frank Pry. She is survived by her son, Christopher Hearn and his wife, Michelle; two grandsons, Christopher Hearn Jr. and Clifton Nichols; a granddaughter, Kristen Hearn; and two great-grandchildren, Mason Hearn and Christopher Hearn.

A celebration of life funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, at the Metropolitan Baptist Church. Burial will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery.

The family will be at the residence of Christopher Hearn, 620 Chisholm Lane, Suffolk.
