Arson suspect sought

The Suffolk Fire Marshal’s Office is seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect from an arson on Bridge Road.

The Suffolk Fire Marshal’s Office is seeking the identity of this man, who is wanted in connection with an arson incident.

The incident happened about 10 p.m. Tuesday at the Bennett’s Creek Farm Market in the 3800 block of Bridge Road. It was discovered about 5:30 a.m. the following morning, according to a city press release.

The person set fire to a container of cardboard debris, according to the release. The boxes burned themselves out, and the building did not catch fire.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall, 175 pounds, with a close cut beard.
