V.J. Wilkins scored 26 points, which included six three-pointers in the fourth quarter, for the Warriors in their loss over Indian River. The first quarter started off well for the Warriors as they jumped out to a 10-3 lead, but they ended up finishing that quarter down 19-14.

Indian River continued to build on that momentum going into halftime with a 33-22 lead. Nansemond River took another hit in a bad third quarter, where Indian River had a 30-point quarter to extend their lead to 63-38. However, the script flipped in the fourth quarter for the Warriors, when they poured in 35 points with Wilkins leading the way. The Warriors were on the verge of an unbelievable comeback but ran out of gas in the fourth quarter, losing the game 81-74.
