Betty Ann Stewart Hart

Betty Ann Stewart Hart, 62, of Suffolk, passed away Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018. She was the daughter of Agnes Stewart Hambrick and the late Hugh Belfield Stewart.

She is survived by her husband, F. Lee Hart III, and his son, Spencer Lee Hart IV of Arlington; mother, Agnes Stewart Hambrick, of Lady Lake, Fla.; brothers, Jim Baron Stewart (Lauren), of Mechanicsville, Bill Bacon Stewart (Linda), of Jacksonville, Fla.; and her beloved cat, Alabama.

Betty was an active member of the Suffolk Chapter 173 of the United Daughters of the Confederacy and secretary of Eta Mu Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi. She worked for many years for Western Branch Diesel. She was a kind, giving and generous person whose thoughts were always about others.

A funeral will be conducted by Chaplain Frank Earnest at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018, in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, 509 W. Washington St., Suffolk. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A private interment will be held in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suffolk.
