Cover 3 Foundation recently announced it received a $5,000 grant from the Community Engagement grants program via the Obici Healthcare Foundation.

This grant will help the foundation feed 4,000 children through the C3’s Kid’s Meals program in after-school programs throughout Southeastern Virginia.

The foundation’s mission is to give back to our communities through providing healthy and nutritious meals and snacks to thousands of children daily. Founder Greg Scott said he expressed his “thanks and gratitude to Obici Healthcare Foundation for their continued support throughout the years,” according to a press release.

Cover 3 Foundation has been “Reaching, Teaching and Feeding” thousands of Virginia children since 2009. The Foundation’s C3’s Kid’s Meals program exists to provide nutritious and healthy meals and snacks to children in both after-school programs as well as summer feeding sites. Through this program, which was established in 2010, C3F hit its official 2.5 million meals prepared and served in November of 2017.

“Defeating childhood hunger is the major purpose of Cover 3 Foundation, and we are blessed to see this mission through via participating as a sponsor in after-school programs across South Hampton Roads and Central Virginia regions,” Scott stated in the release.
