Jaden Freeman and D.J. White earned conference honors in the Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools this season.

The two Nansemond-Suffolk Academy boys’ basketball standouts were selected to the Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools conference teams. Freeman was selected to the first team, while White was selected to the second team.

Both players stood out for the Saints this season, getting things done offensively and defensively. Freeman, a freshman, mentioned that this was one of his goals coming into the season.

“Hearing I made first team was a really exciting moment for me, because it was one of my goals coming into my freshman season,” he said. “I have to keep putting in the work and taking care of the classroom if I want to get where I want to be.”

White described it as a great feeling as well that he was able to be recognized.
