Clarence Williams Jr., 65, of Freeney Avenue, transitioned March 3, 2018, at his residence. He is the son of the late Clarence Williams Sr. and Rosa Lee Carter. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Nanie Paulet Williams, and sisters, Helen Williams and Wilma Johnson.

Clarence was retired out of the U.S. Navy in 2006. He was a graduate of Paul D. Camp Community College and Christian Souls Paradise C.O.G.I.C.

He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Farrah Knight and Chiquita Knight, both of Suffolk; sisters, Eldina A. Williams and Onalisa Williams, both of Plaquemine, La.; brother, Charles (Emma) Williams Sr., of Plaquemine, La.; grandchildren, Michelle Knight, Calvin Williams Jr. and Laila Knight.

A celebration of life will be held at noon, Friday, March 9, 2018, at Rising St. James Pentecostal Church, 201 N. Sixth St., Suffolk, VA 23434. The Rev. Robert Wilkins will deliver the message of comfort. He will be laid to rest in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entruted to Crocker Funeral Home Inc.
