The Warriors boys’ soccer team has shut out its first opponent of the season in a defeat of Lake Taylor High School.

The Nansemond River High School boys’ soccer team defeated Lake Taylor High School 8-0 Wednesday evening at home. Seva Karlov and Taylor Jones each had two goals. David Wright earns his first shutout of the new season.

Nansemond River will host Warhill High School at 7 p.m. Friday. The Warriors are 1-0 on the season.
