The Saints grabbed a 5-1 road win over Southampton Academy Monday afternoon.

The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy baseball team went to 3-2 on the season after the road win. The Saints had their highest output in the first inning, when they scored three runs, and gave up their only run of the game in the third inning.

NSA collected 10 hits as a team. Nic Psimas, Robby Tew, Zac Morris and D.J. Minor each had two runs. As a team, the Saints were able to make some good defensive plays at the end to hold their lead intact.

“They are starting to figure out what their potential can be,” Saints coach Joey Seal said. “If we start executing all of the little things we have been working on, we have a chance to be a really good team.”

NSA will face St. Christopher’s School at home at 4 p.m. on Tuesday.
