Brush fire in Holland

Suffolk Fire and Rescue arrived to a working brush fire at 4:39 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. The brush fire occurred in the rural Holland area of Gates Road and Wildwood Drive.
Emergency Communications was alerted of the brush fire by 4:28 p.m., according to city spokeswoman Diana Klink.
The brush fire extends into the tree line and approximately five acres have been burned, and no injuries have been reported, according to Battalion Chief Demetri Wilson.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue had responding units from Engines 4 and 7, Rescue 1, Medic 7A, Safety 1, Battalions 1 and 2, Brush 7 and 8 and the Fire Marshal.
Carrsville Volunteer Fire Department and the Virginia Department of Forestry have also provided aid.
The Fire Marshal will investigate the cause of the fire.
