Lady Knights score bunches in win

The Suffolk Christian Academy softball team defeated Atlantic Shores 17-0.

SCA has gotten off to a 4-2 start this season and has been playing very well offensively. Pep Franklin and Heidi Layne collected multiple hits for the Lady Knights. Franklin went 3-5 with two runs and two RBIs, and Layne went 2-3 with a run and four RBIs. Franklin also recorded four triples while Layne and Katie Glover added two each. Layne and Glover handled pitching duties, with Layne striking out eight batters in a no-hitter.

Between the third and fifth innings, SCA scored 14 runs, which put the game out of reach for Atlantic Shores Christian School.
