On March 27, 2018, the Lord, in His infinite wisdom, saw fit to call home to rest our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and foster mother, Maybell “Bell” Wiggins Howell. She was born on July 9, 1949, to the late Jeremiah and Ella Mae Wiggins.

Maybell, being a strong worker, was a transporter for Blair Brothers Co., hairstylist for many years and employed by the Suffolk school system as a bus driver. During her life journey, she loved singing. For 30-plus years, she sang and managed the Heavenly Charms.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, one daughter, Aretha Howell, of Suffolk; three sons, Donald Howell (Bonnie) and Darren Howell (Beverly), all of Suffolk, and Marvin Howell (Felicia), of Accomack; extended family, Karen Howell (Precious), Adrian Howell, Shala Howell, Danielle Howell, Timothy Howell and Shakara Howell, all of Suffolk; four brothers, Cliffton Wiggins (Dorothy) Lloyd Wiggins (Mary) and James Wiggins (Martha), all of Suffolk, and Manuel Wiggins (Diane) of Gates, N.C.; three sisters, Mildred Wiggins, Christine Dildy (Eugene) and Regina Peterson (James), all of Suffolk; two aunts, Ethel M. Collington (Ben) of Suffolk, and Eyoria Hangan, of Jacksonville, N.C.; 19 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
