Sylvia Ruth Carr Ignacio, 72, of Portsmouth, passed away April 5, 2018. She was born in Suffolk to the late James Samuel Carr and Mabel Cleo Grant Carr Jenkins. Sylvia retired as a material handler from Neestum Co. She was predeceased by her husband, Victor D. Ignacio, and daughter, Angela White. Sylvia was a member of Temple Baptist Church.

Sylvia is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and Michael Hubbard; son and daughter-in-law, William and Kim Bradshaw; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Alice Wiggins and Joeanne Jones.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2018, at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, VA 23434 with the Rev. Matt Winters officiating. Condolences may be registered at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
