Police investigate home invasion robbery

Suffolk police are investigating a home invasion robbery that happened in the early morning hours on Monday, according to a city press release.

The robbery was reported at 2:39 a.m., according to a city press release. It happened in the 1100 block of Nansemond Parkway at a mobile home located in the Magnolia Lakes Mobile Home Park.

Preliminary investigation found that the occupants were awakened when two subjects forced entry into the home and demanded money, the press release stated. The two adult male victims were assaulted and later treated at the hospital for minor injuries.

A third involved subject remained in the vehicle, described as a silver SUV, possibly an Isuzu Rodeo. The three subjects, all described as black males, fled the scene in the vehicle following the incident, the press release stated.

While on scene, officers learned of an attempted breaking and entering at a neighboring mobile home believed to have involved the same subjects, the press release stated.

The investigation is ongoing, and no further information is available.
