The Suffolk Christian Academy softball team has defeated Ridgecroft School for the second time.

The Lady Knights matched up with Ridgecroft for the second team this season after playing them the first game of the season. After winning the first game 5-4, SCA did one better by winning 12-2 the second time around Tuesday evening.

SCA went up 6-0 in the first inning. Heidi Layne handled pitching duties for the Lady Knights and earned the win.

Pep Franklin went 2-4 with a run and two RBIs, and Daphne Franklin went 2-3 with three RBIs and a run.

SCA will face Currituck County at home at 5:15 p.m. Thursday.
