James “Tommy” “Thames” Jackson Thomas Jr., 88, passed away April 13, 2018. He was born in Suffolk, the son of the late James Jackson Thomas and Bessie Matilda Harrell Thomas. He was predeceased by his sisters, Mary Megginson, Juanita Thomas, Margaret Faye Babb; and brother, Howard Dempsey Thomas. He retired as a master plumber and was a member of First Baptist Church.

Tommy is survived by his son, Allen Troy Thomas; companion of 30 years, Peggy C. Holly; sister, Joyce Ann Sandman; brother, Bobby Thomas; and former wife, Ann Burgandine.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2018, at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with the Rev. Charles W. Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery.
