Following are this week’s nominees for the Suffolk News-Herald Player of the Week:

Mackenzie Johnson, sophomore, Lakeland High School soccer—Johnson scored four goals in the Lady Cavs 8-0 win over Booker T. Washington.

Lonni Cox, junior, King’s Fork High School soccer- Cox scored seven goals and had four assists in three games for the Lady Bulldogs.

Gage Williams, senior, Nansemond River High School baseball— only allowed two runs in a almost no-hitter for the Warriors in win over Deep Creek High School.
