Michael Kevin Bezek, 59, passed away on April 24, 2018, surrounded by his family. He leaves behind his wife of 26 years, Ann R. Bezek. He was the son of Libby Bezek and the late Michael G. Bezek. He also is predeceased by his sister, Tambra Jo Bezek.

Michael loved his family and always put others first. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, camping and going to the Outer Banks. He worked for 39 years at Huntington-Ingalls Newport News Shipbuilding.

Besides his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Ann R. Bezek; daughter, Meagan E. Bezek Lay and husband, Steven; son, Christopher Stanley King; granddaughters, Emma Ann King and Olivia Ann Lay; mother-in-law, Dianne Midyette; sister-in-law, Carolyn Hayden, brothers-in-law Charles Hayden, and Charles Midyette and wife Karen; and his dog, Misty.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 27, 2018, at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 1637 Holland Road, Suffolk, VA 23434 by the Rev. Ricky Garza. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Portsmouth. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2018, in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, 509 W. Washington St., Suffolk. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
