The Suffolk Christian Academy softball team improved to 8-5 on the season after a home win against Norfolk Collegiate Thursday evening.

The team scored 14 runs and gave up only one in an impressive victory. The Lady Knights did most of their damage in the second inning, where they scored eight runs. Mary Francis went 2-3 with a run and three RBIs.

Daphne Franklin went 1-2 with a run, three RBIs and a double. SCA scored 14 runs off of six hits. Arryanna Baird handled pitching duties for the Lady Knights and secured the win.

The Lady Knights are preparing to turn their attention to the Hampton Roads Athletic Conference tournament.
