Grand jury indicts 38

A man charged with two credit union robberies in December was among the 38 defendants indicted on 145 charges by the grand jury on April 25.

Carver D. Hyman, 72, is charged in relation to two incidents involving Chartway Federal Credit Union locations in Suffolk.

The location in the 1400 block of North Main Street was robbed on Dec. 19. The location in the 3500 block of Bridge Road had an attempted robbery on Dec. 29. Both were located inside Farm Fresh grocery stores.

Hyman was arrested and charged in January. He faces trial this Wednesday.
