Eleanor Evans, 78, of Suffolk, passed away at home May 15, 2018. She was known to many as “Douggie” and was a graduate of Meredith College and for some years was a home economist for Vepco. Eleanor was a founding member of Friends of the Suffolk Library, where she volunteered for many years.

Her husband of 50 years, Richard, survives her. At her request, there will be no services. The family is being assisted by Baker-Foster Funeral Home, 5685 Lee Farm Lane, Suffolk, VA 23435. Condolences may be offered at RWBakerFH.com.
