Ann Boyette Abernathy

Ann Boyette Abernathy, 86, passed away on Friday, May 18, 2018. She was predeceased by her parents Benjamin and Louise Case; husbands, James H. Boyette Jr., Charles “Mac” Abernathy; and her son James H. Boyette IV.

Ann always kept active with her many memberships at church. She was a longtime member of Cypress Chapel Christian Church, the new hope bible class, the Robin Ferrell Circle, the Cypress Chapel choir and with the primetime singers, her voice will be missed. She retired from the Orthopedic Surgery Center of Suffolk.

Left to cherish her memory are her devoted children; Sandra Butler (Larry), Benjamin “Randy” Boyette (Sharon); Daughter-in-law, Debbie Boyette; Step-daughter Lisa Fickle; Grandchildren, Amy Butler (Kevin), Ashley Butler (Scott), Kimberly Bass (Jesse-Deceased), Julie McMahan (Brandon), Brennan Boyette, Brittany Boyette; step-grandson, Nicholas Fickle; great-grandchildren; Brian Marshall, Kendall Marshall, Heavan Boyette, Brennan Boyette Jr., Cooper Bass, Ethan McMahan; sisters, Hilda Hobbs, Jean Powell; and brother, Benjamin Case (Becky).

A funeral Service will be held in Cypress Chapel Christian Church, 1891 Cypress Chapel Road, at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2018. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, May 21, 2018 in R.W. Baker & Company Funeral Home and Crematory, 509 W. Washington St. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery.
